Easy Back to School Kabobs

With the return to routine and all the fun that goes along with school starting back, you know homework, extracurricular activities, early bedtimes, yea well the number one complaint I’ve heard among my mama friends with school aged kids is cooking dinner is a huge chore right now. So I thought I’d see if I could come up with a quick easy maybe even “cook” free meal idea that the whole family can enjoy, even those picky kiddos. Tonight’s addition to the blog will host just that. The back to school kabob is easy prep, cook free, and kid approved!

What you will need:

Grapes
Apples
Cheese of your choice (we love Colby)
Deli meat of choice (we love turkey)
Kabob sticks (or not)

Ok mama it’s a busy night don’t get crazy just make it easy.

Prep:

Wash fruit
Cut up cheese into bite sized pieces
Cut up apples
Cut meat into bit sized pieces (if you roll these up it makes it so much easier to cut)
Let the kids help if you’d like and load up those kabob sticks!

Place in front of hungry family, you can add veggies if you’d like too, and watch them disappear!

Side note: my mother in law said she’d probably add a drizzle of caramel to the top and call it dessert
Kabobs (just a delicious thought, yum)
